    OPA film must not be laminated directly on SiOx surface, if the film is boiling or retorting treated. Because SiOx layer is deteriorated by OPA hydroscopic swelling.
    This phenomenon can be occurred as well as with the other water absorb-like film.

“TECHBARRIER™-TX” is SiOx vacuum coated polyester film with high transparency and cost performance. Retort / boiling / hot-filling is available.
Barrier stability after retort is increasing compared to our previous type, TZ.

    SiOx surface must not be exposed (must sandwiched with the other layer).
    Direct printing on SiOx layer is possible. We, however, recommend primer coating if white ink printing is necessary in order to avoid gas barrier deterioration.
    OPA, CPP, adhesive and inks should be retort appropriate type.
